On February 18, 2025, the B&B HOTEL Madrid Tres Cantos was officially inaugurated — a milestone in sustainable construction and the first hybrid building in Spain. Located in Tres Cantos, in the Community of Madrid, this project stands out for its industrialized construction model, which is more efficient and sustainable than traditional methods.
Hybrid construction: innovation and efficiency
The B&B HOTEL Madrid Tres Cantos, designed by TdB Estudio de Arquitectura and developed by Sunny Casais, adopts an innovative construction system — CREE Buildings. This approach combines timber and concrete, significantly reducing environmental impact without compromising contemporary design. Additionally, construction was carried out by a Temporary Joint Venture (UTE) between CASAIS ESPAÑA DE INGENIERÍA Y CONSTRUCCIÓN S.L. (EIC) and ACR CONSTRUCCIONES, SAU, ensuring efficiency and speed.
With the assembly of the modules completed in just 14 days, this system proves its effectiveness by reducing the total construction time by up to six months compared to conventional methods. A solution that combines sustainability, quality, and speed.
Recognition in sustainability
The B&B HOTEL Madrid Tres Cantos has already received significant recognition in the sustainable construction sector. In 2024, it was acknowledged by Re Think Hotel as one of the top 10 sustainability and hotel rehabilitation projects to be implemented. Additionally, together with The First Guimarães, it contributed to Grupo Casais winning the Circularity category at the Built Environment Sustainability Awards.
Comfort and innovation for guests
With 120 rooms spread across 5 floors and surface parking, the B&B HOTEL Madrid Tres Cantos offers guests a modern and comfortable experience. During construction, innovative solutions were implemented, such as industrialized bathrooms (Blufab) and prefabricated piping kits (Blumep), produced in Portugal and assembled directly on-site in Spain. These technologies ensure greater efficiency, quality, and waste reduction.
