Sunny Casais celebrates Grupo Casais’ recognition at the Built Environment Sustainability Awards, promoted by BUILT CoLAB. The award in the Circularity category was granted to Grupo Casais for the B&B HOTEL Madrid Tres Cantos and The First Guimarães projects, both developed by Sunny Casais, reinforcing the commitment to industrialized construction and sustainability.
Innovation and Sustainability in Construction
The B&B HOTEL Madrid Tres Cantos is the first industrialized hybrid construction building in Spain, combining timber and concrete. Thanks to off-site and prefabricated solutions, the project achieved a 59% reduction in its carbon footprint, standing out as a benchmark in the transition toward a more sustainable model.
The First Guimarães, located in the Minho Innovation and Technology Hub (MITH), reflects Sunny Casais’ mission to drive circular construction by optimizing materials and construction processes to minimize waste and increase energy efficiency.
Industrialized Construction: Efficiency and Impact Reduction
The industrialization of construction applied in these projects enables faster execution, less material waste, and a significant reduction in environmental impact. The buildings have an extended life cycle, as the materials used can be repurposed in new constructions, aligning with ESG principles (Environmental, Social, and Governance).
This recognition from BUILT CoLAB reaffirms the positive impact of this innovative approach and encourages Sunny Casais to continue promoting increasingly sustainable and efficient solutions in the construction sector.
